| On March 21,2000 members of the Dry Branch plant had a meeting designed to build solidarity at their plant and develop plans to assist workers under attack from Imerys anti-union strategies. Traning was provided on how to fight for fairness in the workplace, dealing with the areas OSHA safety, enviromental issues, media relations, communications, and others. Members are committed to support the fight for fairness in Sylacaua and any location the company injustices are thrust upon workers rights. As a staff member of PACE International Union I was impressed with the desire shown to help brothers and sisters being mistreated by Imerys. They are preparing to continue fighting for as long as it takes knowing it could be them next. As one member stated, "It is true that an injury to one is an injury to all." |
