| Shem Hogan, our full-time Officer, attended a recent meeting of the 2/203 St Stephen Branch of the Transport & General Workers' Union. The Branch is in the heart of "china clay country" in Cornwall; the vast majority of members in this Branch are employed by IMERYS and Malcolm Mellow is the Branch Chair. Shem and Malcolm spoke about the union-busting campaign in the USA and their meeting some weeks ago in London with Joe Drexler and his colleagues. We also watched the PACE video. The members present were appalled by your situation in Alabama and Georgia; they have had trade union recognition for many, many years. Although it is a small token, they asked me to send you their message of support in your fight for recognition rights.
