To me a deadbeat is not someone who goes out and voices his beliefs. A deadbeat is someone who sits back and does nothing till the vote has been cast. I to was like Mr. Batson, I did not go to meetings like I should, but now that I do, I am glad I started. I am the mine grievance committeeman for our local. I too have been to Alabama. I have been in contact with people over there and I am willing to do anything that it takes to help our fellow workers, and our future brothers. That does not make me a deadbeat, it makes me a person who knows how to take a stand for his beliefs. All the "yes" people know how to do is what the management tells them, that does not make them men. In fact, in my eyes, it makes them puppets. They do not even get the respect of the management for letting them control them. It is getting close to the time to let the real men take a stand and be counted. It will shape the future for years to come. And then, the deadbeats can jump on the wagon and say they were for the union all the time!!! Once again, BE UNION STONG!!
