Thanks for your answer to my question. I was actually unaware of the Alabama "At Will Employment" clause, and I did look it up. So, a Union would prevent an employer from firing an employee unreasonably. But would it not also prevent the firing of an unproductive or lazy employee, which would ultimately lead to a loss of money for the company, and impact the quality of our products? Remember what Unions did for the Automobile Industry some years back, when the quality of American cars fell due to the difficulty of firing poor employees? This is one thing that bothers me; I think that no one should be able to do nothing at work and still have their job protected by a union. Don't you think that these kind of workers would be a drag on our economy, especially if they cannot be removed?
