This is for all the people at Imerys, who have not made up their minds to come on over to the union side.
last Friday we lost a man because all he wanted to do was to move up in the company and to do a job for the company that he knew best by being a truck mechanic. He asked about and bidded on the job and was denied for being the wrong tech. level. Glenn had been a mechanic all his life and his dad was a mechanic, yet our mangement team said he was not qualified for the job.Last friday when he went to turn in his notice his boss said there wasn't any use in that and to make it his last day.Glenn was against the union and had said he would vote "NO". My friend this was one of their own people, their own supportors. If IMERYS will do this to their own, I can't imagine how they will turn on the rest union or nonunion. This company only concern is for the allmighty profit of the DOllAR.
Well glenn dunham went to work as a diesel mechanic at a company just ten miles away and I personally wish him the best of luck and may God be with him and his family.
Well the boss that denied him his oppertunity said they was going to hire from the outside,HUMM
I wonder what kinfolk of his needs a job, or what friend of his from catterpillar he's looking to hire or maybe allready promised a job too.
This is something that everyone every hourly employee best take in thought when you vote!
Imerys managers in Sylacauga set there own rules nothing on paper and if they don't want you to advance in your job or company, then brothers and sisters YOU WILL NOT!
Only a YES vote on June 22nd will stop this kind of action.
I know that over the last few months a lot of things have been posted on this bullentin board
and the other day I personally heard that our bosses will not do anything till after the vote.
So you see even the GOONs aren't safe as they think they are. I felt that we all are being decieved all the way down.You better do some serious thinking and even some praying, cause whether you deserve it or not this company doesn't care for you, your family or your friends.
Help us build the structure in this company that we all can live with, set the rules and guidlines
that will give us security of our job and a promice for a better tomarrow.
Togather with the tech 8 or 9's and joining with the 3's and 4's we can have a contract and a future. Help us by voting "YES" on JUNE 22nd
