Direct quotes from Mr. Sandricks letter:

Quote "In considertion of the relationship
between the company and the unions throughout Imerys, we will not campaign against unions in general. The focus of our communications process will only be union representation at Sylacauga"

My interpretation:
In other words, we will not try to take on ALL Union workers at one time, just the ones in Sylacauga, for now.

Quote #2: "We will endeavor to give employees the facts about this important decision. We will hold infomational meetings, which will not be mandatory meetings"

In other words, we will attempt to fill your heads so full of anti-union propaganda that you won't know which way to turn. The lies will be so sensational, that if you are not already afraid, you will be. And regarding the meetings, we will just turn your regular meetings into anti-Union meetings, so you will hear it wheather you like it or not.

Quote #3: "We will give prompt, accurate answers to any questions from employees about this decision, and will endeavor to correct immediately any inaccurate information or rumors".

Give me a break, in other words, we have prepared questions and answers with the help of our anti-union attorney to really scare the hell out of you. Please do not ask us questions in public, so as to not embarass us.

Quote #4: We will ensure that no employee is subjected to any pressure or intimidation from anyone because of their opinions about whether or not PACE should come into Sylacauga".

This is a good one....although we will allow harassment and intimidation to anyone that is even a suspected Union supporter as we have done in the past and continue to do on a daily basis.

Quote #5: "We will treat all employees honestly and fairly regardless of their unionization beliefs".

We are having our attorney look up the word honesty for us and when we understand what it means, we will see what we can do to pick it apart, twist it, and then use it to our favor.

Quote #6: "We will conduct ourselves fairly, and with integrity, consistent with the law and the employees' rights to express their respective views regarding the appropriateness of union representation".

In other words, we will conduct ourselves as we see fit.

Quote #7: "If a union is elected as bargaining representative by majority vote in a NLRB-supervised election, and the NLRB certifies the election, we will commence bargaining in good faith and will abide by the process".
How nice of them to follow Federal Law, instead of trying to manipulate it.

The comments under each quote are all my opinions, but see if you don't agree. Read each quote carefully, if you know the truth then the half-truths, lies, misinformation, lack of information and misleading statements will be quite obvious and only insite more anger.
It is also quite obvious that this is a letter was written by a very skille attorney. It was a lot of words, that didn't add up to anything.
