| There is an old adage: a chain is only only as strong as it's weakest link. I'm gonna tell you something that's gonna tick off a lot of people..when we were GA marble, we sucked as a union. I realize we all work different shifts and whatnot, but the monthly meetings were attended by only 10-15 people on a good month..I myself was guilty of this,like they say, you tend to take things for granted until someone else takes them away. When, not if, we get this new union, we need to stand and STAY strong! People need to get involved, not for leadership in the local, but for their own reasons of money and workplace improvements. I may be going off on a rant here, but I believe in my fellow workers. They are a great bunch of guys, but we all need to wake up and stand tall!! No more cowering,let the big dogs know who you are and what you want...Let's make this a STRONG unification of workers, otherwise, this battle is for naught. |
