My Grandfather was a Greek Immigrant who came to this country in 1907. In 1913 he spent
90 days in a Huntington, W.VA. jail, his crime was he refused to cross a picket line at the mine where he worked. He told me they would come each day and offer to release him if he would return to work. When I asked my Grandfather what he said to them, he answered in his broken English. I spit their face. Crown seems to think they are back in 1913 but the 252 locked -out workers have spit their face. I hope very shortly to see pickets at Crown's two Roanoke Va. gas stations. These are the nearest stations to my area. Keep up the good work, Keep Hope Alive and Spit their face. |
