| On September 6, 7, and 8, 1999 I attended the NBC USA Inc. in Tampa, Florida. I was allowed to address the delegates at a Labor rally on Monday and again on Wednesday. I spoke to a very emotional and enthusiastic crowd at a Labor breakfast.
The Board re-endorsed the boycott of Crown Central and promised to pass the word to their eight (8) million members not to do business with Crown's Fast Fair or Zippy Mart until the company comes to the bargaining table and address the issue of Union busting, sex, race and the environment. From the locked out workers - a BIG thank you to Dr. Rev. Mitchell and his staff. A personal and special thanks to the world famous Dr. Fred Shuttleworth of Birmingham, Alabama, for his offer to help and to the very beautiful Ms. Bobo for her help with the hand bills. |
