I attended the Jobs with Justice Conference and on Friday, 7-21-00, we hopped on buses and went to the AT&T office and protested in support of CWA. There were 200 people more than they expected and we double-lined two sidewalks and one lane. They had a BBQ on saturday night and there were a few speakers. I was one of them. I talked about the discrimination and the pollution at Crown. I mentioned I had to be in Austin next week because of a lawsuit against Bush. This was for locking us up when we tried to inform the public how much money he was taking from corporations to let them pollute. The crowd whistled and clapped. When I finished they gave me the only standing ovation and chanted DON'T BUY CROWN GAS! several times. Mary Kambic and her husband, who continually helps to support us, attended also. People came up to our booth and all in all we received a lot of support.
