| A couple of dozen spirited activists made it down to the Crown Station on Central Ave this past Saturday.
Though the temp made it up to 95 degrees, there was a lot of activity and the soon-to-be former customers of Crown Gas were very interested to hear about the company's policies which include racism, sexism and environmental racism. We passed out hundreds of Boycott Crown leaflets. Lead by James Broaddus, we got the word out and turned many heads. 4 newspapers covered the story along with photographers snapping all of the action. Special thanks goes out to representatives from Local 400 UFCW, AFSCME, PACE's College Park Local and Catholic activists to pitched in to help spread the word. Our activities are stepping up in Prince Georges County and anticipate visiting the rest of the stations in the county throughout the summer.
