The rally in Richmond, Virginia on Saturday, April 8 was a huge sucess. We picketed three stations. Coverage by television and newspapers was great. A special thanks to TV Channel 6, the CBS station in Richmond, for a great story on the boycott that started running on Friday, April 7, and ran the whole weekend. Thanks to CWA 2201, CWA 2260, PACE 1553, PACE 467, APRI Richmond Chapter, Richmond Central Labor Council; also, family, friends, and all the children; and Ruth Wilbourne, PACE Region 4 office secretary, for their help in making Saturday, April 8th a day of solidarity for the Crown workers in Texas.

The rally in Raleight, N. C. had the same effect as in Richmond. Turned away many would-be customers. Thanks to APRI Raleigh and N C State Chapter; Raleigh Central Labor Council, and N C AFL-CIO. A special thanks to Chalette Cooper, APRI for her help.

April 8th was a first for a Crown boycott at service stations in South Carolina. We had some success, but our day was cut short there because of the weather. We will reschedule there later. Thanks to the Greenville Central Labor Council.
