| I was reviewing the website when I came across the Crown boycott letters. I noticed how one-sided these opinions were. I spent over 12 years employed by Crown at the Crown refinery in the 1970's & 1980's. The productivity of the Crown union workers was horrendous due to the numerous coffee breaks, work rules and the "I got ten years here and they can't fire me" attitude. A contract welder could safely weld a quality weld in 1/3 the time as a Crown union welder. The Crown refinery was best maintained & operated when the union was on strike as was the case in the strike of 1980 which lasted 6 months. Fella's, you all did it to yourselves with your 1950's attitudes. Crown's not totally to blame. Fella's, get a life! |
