| Saturday was a great day for a rally. It was the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King who had a dream. We as working men and women in this country can say we have a dream -- to stop unfair labor practices.
We turned away many would-be customers. Julie Stone, a reporter for WECT-TV (NBC) Chanel 6 in Wilmington, N.C. interviewd several of the rally participants for the 6 o'clock news. "Star News", the largest daily newspaper in the Wilmington area also interviewed participants. The "Wilmington-Journal" ran a front page headline article on the Crown Boycott on Thursday, January 13. Special thanks go Willie Frazier of ILA; the Wilmington Chapter of the APRI; Robert Joyner, President of PACE Local 2-0738; Sylvia Colbert, Secretary of the NAACP, Wilmington Chapter; and all other unions and organziations for their help in making this rally a success.
