Approximately 25-30 Union members (PACEIU, Steelworkers, Machinists, IBEW) participated in the Strawberry Festival Parade. We had a 40 foot trailer pulled by a dually for three miles. Leafletting was allowed by the caucasian Union members but not the Hispanic. (Good old Pasadena!) However the parade was still a success as we handed out approximately 500 leaflets. We drove to the refinery on the float and chanted some slogans, sang some songs and hollered at the 'scabs'. This coming weekend will be the Strawberry Festival on the 14th, 15th and 16th of May. We will have two booths - one inside and one outside. (Booths #22 and #101) Hope to see you out there! The Kaiser Aluminum locked out steelworkers will also be joining us at this festival.
