| I was having a talk with a friend, and we were discussing the economics (and other aspects) of immigration.
His notion was that we should limit the number of new american citizens because if we let them all in, they would be nonproductive citizens who would just lie, cheat, and steal. He also took the side of many others by stating that they would be taking jobs away from americans. I think the opposite. I believe this would be benefitial for everybody. There would be an abundance of hard labor as well as money to be made from services and such. Besides all of that, I like the notion of freedom. (Apparently he doesn't). If I was stuck in some communistic country, I would want the freedom to come to the US and not be sent back because of Immigration control. ~~Brad |
